A Little Bit About Me
People have often described me as “animated” and “infectious” …. but I am pretty sure these are meant to be complimentary. My sense of humor is balanced by my compassion and sensitivity towards others. These attributes have helped me pursue acting and filmmaking with an unrelenting passion. But before I climbed aboard the acting train, I became a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. So if you are looking for someone who has a great work ethic and can handle chaotic schedules (all while keeping a calm, cool smile on her face)….I’m your gal.
Now Let’s Get Serious…Official Bio
Narci Regina is an actor who has been known as a life-long “character.” She was born in Northern New Jersey and raised by her hard-working parents, who were immigrants from the Dominican Republic. One of seven siblings, Narci grew up with a strong work ethic and desire to achieve the American dream of a quality education. She went on to graduate from Penn State University with a B.S. in Biobehavioral Health. She also attained a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. As a board-certified, bilingual Speech Therapist, Narci found tremendous fulfillment in working with children and adults with special needs. It wasn’t until years later that she acknowledged her deep-rooted desire to become an actor.
With the encouragement of her family, Narci took the leap from the field of healthcare into the profession of acting. In 2015, she made her humble acting debut in 2 local community plays. This led to more professional opportunities, such as booking principal roles in NATIONAL and REGIONAL commercials for Hand and Stone Massage, Good 2 Go Insurance, Citadel Bank and McGraw-Hill Education. Her true desire, however, was to be apart of projects that told stories and had the ability to affect audiences emotionally. As a result, Narci began formal and intense training with Tony Savant at Playhouse West – Philadelphia. Since she has been actively training, Narci has acted, written and produced several independent short films. Several of these films have been Official Selections at the Women’s Only Entertainment Film Festival, American Black Film Festival, Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival Urban World Film Festival, Nice International Film Festival and London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Festival 2018.
She was also rewarded a Best Actress Award at the Playhouse West Film Challenge in 2017, as well as being nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Playhouse West Film Festival in 2017.
As she continues to develop as a professional actor, Narci’s passion for telling stories that need to be told is thriving as well. Her journey as an actor may be just be starting….but the sky’s the limit.
